Financials: segment data
Where can I get company financials by business and/or geographic segment?
This data is self-reported, but might be available in these resources for public companies:
Capital IQ: When viewing a company profile, select Segments from the left-hand menu (under the Financials/Valuations section).
Bloomberg: Use the following commands to view desired data: E.g.,: type LVMH BB hit the [EQUITY] key then type FA PROD and hit the GO key.
Product Segments: ticker [EQUITY] FA PROD
Geographic Segments: ticker [EQUITY] FA GEO
Locate the company by name or ticker symbol
Click on the Financials tab and select Segments.
Use the drop-down under View to select Business Line by Segment or Geographic Line by Segment or Product Line by Segment.
